Founded by John Moss in October 1988, Rappa Holdings is a privately owned South African metals process and extraction group. The company started by delivering gold ash to Rand Refinery, one bag a month and its assets were a red bakkie, wheel barrows, spades and capital of approximately R140 000. To date, the company has grown to be one of the biggest companies in the industry and has subsidiary companies which are; Rappa Resources (Pty) Ltd, Knightsbridge Cobalt Corporation (Pty) Ltd, Nama Copper Resources (Pty) Ltd, and Kwanda Ferro-Alloy African Resources (Pty) Ltd. Rappa Holding’s success has been in its culture of leadership, innovation and being technologically superior. Its strategic intent is to achieve consistent growth in earnings by concentrating on the development of high added value products and services in areas where expertise provides a competitive edge. Furthermore, they are committed in minimising waste in manufacturing processes and designing new products that help customers to be more sustainable and competitive.
