They still maintain a big family culture because they want their staff to have that sense of belonging and not just be an employee. One of the leading short term insurers in South Africa because of their business practices and market diversity. Loyal client base because they maintain their client relationships just like the family staff culture.

Santam is one of the biggest companies that I have worked for in my life, even though it was previously dominated by the Afrikaans speaking employees, but it's safe to say they have grown so much into ensuring the employment equity in the workplace by bringing in the new blood of different races. Their success stories come from their inseta learnership programme whereby they work together with the training company to produce the fair and compliant employees. It has a great diversity in the work place. It is an open office environment whereby you can feel free to talk with your superior as there is no restriction. You would feel at home as every Friday there would be games played against the department, from top management to lower staff like cleaners, would participate. Santam is the best company to work for.

Santam is one of the best companies I have ever worked for. They really care about their staff and their staff are amongst the best trained in the insurance industry. Santam has won the best company to work for in its category before. The management style is progressive. There EE committee is one of the best committees I have ever served on. Their current CEO, Lan Kirk has take the business to new heights and is one of the most respected in the insurance industry and a true genius. Any opportunity to work at Santam should be grabbed with both hands.
