A well known Franchise Steakhouse Group requires 2 Jnr Trainee Managers to be trained
• MIN 1 YEAR EXP IN RESTAURANT / HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY
• High volume activities.
• Non routine; capable of dealing with change.
• Stressful.
• Fatigue.
• Operations focussed.
• Client focused.
• Potential for problematic staff and internal theft.
• Able to deal with multiple challenges simultaneously without compromising the
restaurant’s key performance areas.
• Must have own transport
Monitoring and control
Assist in the monitoring and control of all aspects of the restaurant operations.
Profitability management
Assist in ensuring that the restaurant and its products/ services are profitable at all times and addressing issues/ practices that contribute to profit and loss.
Cash management
Monitoring and control of petty cash.
Staff Management
Ensuring that all staff HR files are updated.
Managing staff performance.
Disciplining staff.
Managing temporary or casual staff
Training
Perform orientation and provide training to all new employees on restaurant processes and determine appropriate feedback from employees and maintain all restaurant plans.
Quality Management
Adherence to agreed quality standards.
Adherence to Hygiene, occupational and safety standards.
Product management
Assist in increasing sales and minimise costs.
Service Excellence
Ensuring that the clients are always satisfied with the products and service of the restaurant.
This includes wait times, food quality, customer feedback and prompt attention to customer complaints
Systems
Responsible for systems, i.e. Micros.
Security Management
Ensure compliance to all security procedures and design strategies to protect all employees and customers and design strategies to reduce injuries to staff and prepare various accident reports.
Ensuring the safety of customers.
Ensuring the safety of staff.
Ensuring the security of the restaurant in general and the assets in particular.
Ensuring that theft and pilfering are minimised.
Opening and closing and shifts
Responsible for timely opening and controlled closing of the restaurant.
Must manage and supervise formal hand over processes between shifts.
Manage all shifts for restaurant operations and schedule all process and maintain cleanliness at all times and assist to resolve all complaints and maintain food quality at all times and perform regular interviews with all employees.
Assist in adequate control of cash, tills and reconciliations.
