As a Product Specialist, you’ll work closely with the Product Manager, the technical / development teams who build the Digital Media products, customer support teams, in-country teams, and marketing teams. You’ll also interact with the architecture teams, other Product Owners and other 3rd party providers who integrate with our Clients services.

You’ll quickly get an understanding of how much content our Client serves up to its customers, and the platforms this is distributed across.

An integral part of your job description as Product Specialist will be to understand the product thoroughly and find new ways to communicate the product the to various market segments. This post requires teamwork therefore working with other members of the product team as well as the technical teams is key to ensure that your requirements are created and delivered to the standard that you require.

This includes co-ordinating and driving the work of the project team, managing relationships with all the project stakeholders, business sponsors and owners, and identifying and managing project issues and risks.

Function:

Working closely with the Product Manager, you will be responsible to ensure that The Product is running smoothly in all countries. In order to deliver on this, your function will include:

1. Reporting to the Product Manager

2. Assist the Product Manager with the growing demands that arise from each country.

3. Maintain and enhance (when necessary) the product customer experience across all platforms.

4. Define innovative ways to communicate to the market segments to address constraints and to educate on the product.

5. Co-ordinate the on-going marketing and sales requirements of the product with brand, communications and sales.

6. Assess and evaluate the issues encountered on the product in each country and customise communications accordingly

7. Understand the specific issues arising in each country from a support and feature perspective. Take the necessary steps to manage, resolve and control these.

8. Co-ordinate campaigns, CRM, marketing communications to customers with in-country teams

9. Liaise with in-country teams on improving processes in a way to change the traditional root.

10. Be prepared to travel to each territory when required.

11. Have a flair for technology and understand how to define requirements.

12. Track the performance of the product and highlight changes that may be required from time- to time

13. Collaborate with technology, operations and customer care teams to ensure successful implementation of technology, operations and customer care of products developed.

14. Maintain and manage the training manuals and update these accordingly

15. Manage the product performance reporting with recommended developments.

16. Responsible for driving reporting requirements for each country

17. Prepare information that feeds into the bigger strategy for the product manager

18. Research and keep abreast of video-on-demand and the changing ways of consuming content

Qualifications:

* Appropriate Degree

* Knowledge of the product lifecycle

* At least 3 years’ hands-on relationship modelling, and product experience in a digital environment

* Proven project management ability for a single product or set of products

* Online portal experience

* Experience with mobile products

* Understanding of the digital media market
