Our client is seeking a Product Owner. The Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Development Team. They need an individual who is both business and tech savvy.

The Product Owner is vital in the agile software development methodology – your priorities are:

? Support and follow the Agile process

As Product Owner – you’ll have a dual support focus: Product and Team

Support the Product Development Process

? Create, update and prioritize the product backlog
? Play an integral role in the Agile process
? Track and communicate release plan and roadmap progress
? Assist with internal and external communication by improving transparency, and radiating information
? improved business and IT alignment

Support the Development Team

? With the assistance of your scrum master - empower the team to self-organize
? Enable growth and individual as well as team development
? Available, empowered and knowledgeable

Technical Skills

? Must be a Certified Product Owner (non-negotiable)
? Must have active experience in this role in an agile software development environment (non-negotiable)
? A technical background is beneficial to the role – and have the ability to understand technical issues at a high level
? Must show business savvy with excellent communication skills
? Understand the market – be able to make product decisions and provide clear business direction
? Actively engage with the scrum team – with a goal to empower the team to reach their highest potential
? Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personality types
? Required to work closely with key stakeholders throughout the organisation and beyond, ensuring expectations are managed, and deliverables are communicated and transparent all the time.
? Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
? Proven ability to work independently without supervision and with other department personnel
? Must have exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
? Drive focussed and iterative delivery within your teams unrelenting on quality and value to the business
? Ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
