• Job Details
THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB ARE:
The most frequent duties for this job are set out below, but the job may include other or occasional duties and responsibilities:
• Email and Telephone support
• Install, configure and support all Microsoft desktop operating systems.
• Install, configure and support all Microsoft and other application software (desktop).
• General hardware installation and troubleshooting (desktop).
• General troubleshooting on all IT related equipment.
• Respond to and resolve support calls at customer sites.
• Remote administration of workstations.
• Responding to monitoring system alerts.
• Resolve support calls via remote connection (desktop).
• Complete desktop configuration documentation for client sites.
• Execute orders and follow up service and repairs with external suppliers.
• Identify possible risks or problems and escalate to senior engineer.
• Collect and deliver stock when required.
Candidate Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• At least a Matriculation certificate.
• A+, N+ and\or equivalent Microsoft qualification on desktop OS.
• Good knowledge of hardware components and hardware troubleshooting procedures (desktop).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and desktop software.
• Working knowledge of all of the Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access (installation and configuration).
• At least one year of desktop support experience in a corporate networked environment.
