A 5 star hotel is looking to add a barman to their great team. The main purpose of the job is to prepare and deliver exceptional beverage services within the restaurant operations to ensure that internal standards are continuously and professional achieved.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Basic computer proficiency
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
• Ability to work shifts that meet operation requirements
• Ability to move around as per job requirements
• Able to use and take care of equipment according to the specs at full optimisation
• Able to serve food and beverage to customers in line with operation standards
• Able to explain products and services in the both areas of food and beverage, produce beverages in line with recipes and standards e.g cocktails

Responsibilities:

• Identify issues with regards to the bar display and surrounding areas in terms of appearance/functioning of equipment and systems
• Stock bar for service
• Check and maintain cleanliness of own section or station
• Greet and acknowledge all guest and interact with guests and provide professional service
• Place guest orders in the system
• Take orders accurately and explain menu items
• Mix drinks and present beverage in line with guest order and outlet standards
• Clear glasses after guests have completed their drinks
• Provide billing to guests
• Conduct cash-ups at the end of service
• Complete beverage stock sheets before and after each shift
• Understand and conduct all tasks in line with F&B standard operating procedures
• Resolve and report on any anomalies to the required standards
• Report on any breakages at the end of the shift
