Primary purpose of the job: To promote academic leadership and guidance to ensure compliance with prescribed legislation with regard to the programs offered by Lyceum and Damelin Correspondence College – (Higher Education) as accredited Institutions of Higher Learning. Provide strategic leadership to grow the School of Educators and ensure its financial viability.

KPA's
Liaison with regulatory bodies, but only when appropriate and with prior approval.
Ensure implementation, maintenance and evaluation of prescribed systems, policies and procedures
Arrange and chair prescribed Advisory Committee Meetings
Assist the Academic Manager with the registration of programs on HEQC (CHE)
Oversee the marking of assignments and exam scripts
Oversee the moderation of assignments and exam scripts
Ensure implementation and compliance with HEQC (CHE) legislation, SETA and the FET landscape in general.
Consultation with external industry stakeholders to promote programs
Coordinate program development and the periodic review of programs
Implement and manage relevant school budgets
Coordinate staff development and training
Assist the Academic Manager as and when required.
Attend meetings as and when required

REQUIREMENTS:
Post graduate degree - Honours.
5 Years’ relevant experience in South African educational institutions.
Good understanding of legislation, regulations and governing and quality assurance bodies
Strong management and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills
