Account Manager - Cape Town

Would you like to work for one of the high end players in the online market who specialize in full-service digital performance? This team has an exciting job opportunity for an Account Manager to join their team in Cape Town. The Account Manager will maintain and up-scale the relation with key strategic customers all-in order to improve and increase the ROI on their advertising spending. You will liaise with the local sales team and the SA Ops team in order to obtain 100% customer satisfaction and the highest ROI for customers

Your key job responsibilities as the Account Manager in Cape Town will include:

- Be the driving force in a customer’s online marketing process, from start to finish. This includes meetings, reports, deliverables on KPI’s and evaluations
- Manage and influence mid-level customer contacts and maintain positive working relationships
- Actively engage with customers to upsell new campaigns and services and advise customers how to best achieve their online marketing business goals
- Working with the internal Ops team and being in the lead of making sure they are able to deliver the best service for our customers and campaigns are running smoothly
- Being the helping hand to the Sales Team in transforming prospects into happy customers and make sure customers are aware of all the newest optimization and up- selling possibilities
- Ensure campaign management documentation is up to date (such as budget settings)
- Actively participating in sales, customer and team meetings to ensure the execution is flawless

Requirements for this Account Manager job in Cape Town:

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business related subjects
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in online marketing in the role of account management
- A strong level of English in writing and speaking
- Strong account management skills; customer oriented and highly motivated
- Proven experience and knowledge in Account Management on customer or agency side
- Sound understanding of the DoubleClick Marketing Technology
- Industry savvy on digital marketing channels, ad technologies, performance-based online marketing, cross media solutions and passionate (ad) technology and how technology can shape the online advertising industry and eco-system in the benefits of our customers
- A people person - comfortable with collaboration and can build internal relationships with cross-functional teams (Sales/Consultants/Ad Operations).
- Excellent organizational, and problem solving/decision making skills
- Last but not least, you are curious and interested to know more about the latest developments in the digital industry
