Kendrick Recruitment is now looking for an Accountant for a stunning lodge based in Hazyview, Mpumalanga. This idyllic hotel/lodge is looking for an Accountant to carry the full responsibility of the financial management of the unit and provide guidance and sound business advice to the Board of Directors. In addition, he/she will be responsible for safeguarding company assets, revenue flows and cash management.The successful candidate will need to have the following requirements:A financial qualification – preferably an Accounting Degree2 years previous experience in a similar roleKnowledge of GAAP, King III, GRAP, IFRS and statutory and legislative requirementsExperience in Financial Management, planning and governance processes and reportingA hardworking and passionate individualFully computer literateProven proficiency on a recognised accounting package, e.g. Pastel, Accpac, etcKnowledge of risk management and implementation processesAbility to work under pressureExcellent interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detailThe candidate will contribute to the financial viability of the hotel by managing the financial risk exposure. With the assistance of the financial team you will need to develop and financial control framework that conforms with the legislative requirements.
