Accountant (CA)

Accountant is needed to develop and implement financial policies for the company, so as to ensure the effective financial management of the company's affairs

You will be responsible for reconciling customer accounts and sending monthly statements to customers. You will also need to build and maintain relationships with clients. The ultimate goal will be to provide and keep accurate and complete financial records for the company.

Mininum Requirements:
BComm or similar degree in Accounting
Qualified SA (CA)
Computer literate: email/internet, MS Excel (advanced), MS Word (intermediate)
3 years’ relevant experience in an accountant position
Thorough knowledge of SARS regulations, Companies Act, Income tax


Key Responsibilities:
Management accounts and cash flow forecast done on a monthly basis.
Compiling management reports for the monthly board meeting.
Budgeting and Projections and the tracking / management thereof.
Responsible for interdepartmental recharges and for assisting with the calculation
of the departments’ rates on which it is based.
Ensuring compliance with the company and tax laws for the company.
To calculate, submit on e-filing and pay VAT accurately and timely every month.
Ensuring that interdepartmental recharges and intercompany transactions for the
Group are captured accurately and timeously.
To do the Company’s Bank reconciliation, Fixed Asset register reconciliation,
Supplier reconciliations and Credit Card reconciliation.
Dealing with insurance and asset management for the company.
Ensuring that Supplier invoices are captured correctly, on a daily basis.
Daily filing
Ensuring that Supplier invoices are paid in a timeous fashion for discount to be taken where applicable.
Outstanding client debt ageing control for Company.
Accurate, complete and timeous invoicing to clients and correct allocation of payments received.
Submitting monthly statements to Customers.
