Our client who is based in the Winelands region, is looking for an Accountant to join their team. Experience within the Fruit / FMCG industry will be beneficial.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Weekly report in preparations of Grower Payments
• Weekly preparations of Grower Payments
• Loading of Grower payments on bank systems
• Sending of payment remittances to growers
• Grower payments adjustments update in accounting system
• Bank reconciliations for ZAR & foreign currency accounts
• Processing of sales invoicing
• Weekly customer statements
• Processing of credit notes
• Receiving of Customer remittances & apply transactions
• Cashflow management in ZAR & foreign currencies
• Management of foreign currencies
• Monthly updating of standard cost's
• Invoicing of cost's back to producers
• Management of Balance sheet items, relating to control accounts on standard cost
• Processing of commercial invoices & payments
• Monthly report on commercial creditors
• Various reporting
• Onboarding of new customers and growers

REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications
• BTech/ BComm/ BCompt Degree
Experience & Knowledge
• 3-5 Years accounting experience
• Articles at registered auditing firm
• Computer skills and extensive experience in Excel
• Experience in data systems on accounting side
• Relevant accounting experience & understanding of the fruit industry would strengthen application
• Cost accounting & standard cost principles essential
• Forex handling and options
