he Accountant position encompasses monitoring monthly payments and transactions and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring correct allocations of all transactions, reconciliation of capital expense projects, fixed asset register maintenance and includes the formulation and maintenance of system narratives for all finance related processes and testing thereof.

The Accountant will also be responsible for the correct costing of all imports in terms of IAS 2 on Inventory valuation and submit foreign supplier payments through the e-forex platform and includes reporting on all foreign exchange gains/losses, payments, cash flow and foreign supplier balances.


Typical Competencies Required:

• Matric with Accounting HG
• Bachelors Degree in Cost- or Management Accounting
• At least five years’ experience in full function accounting to Balance Sheet
• Previous exposure costing imported inventory
• Proven understanding of IFRS and Internal Controls
• Articles Advantageous (SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA / IRBA)
• Computer literacy including full Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Basic understanding of how to research and analyse relevant legislation and standards
• Excellent communication skills – both written (incl report writing and flowcharts) and verbal
• Excellent organisation skills and strong administration skills
• Attention to detail
• Own transport
• Code 8 drivers licence
