My client in the vehicle repair industry is looking for a mature individual with a strong and positive personality to join their tight knit team. Qualification:
Relevant Accounting Diploma / Degree
Skills & Experience:
3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar position
Pastel
Have knowledge and experience with ERP reporting software packages for e.g. AccPac, SAP
Vantage Software experience advantageous
Experience in managing staff (10 + persons)
Job Description:
Key Result Areas:
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
Manage the company’s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting and collection procedures and investment activities and make recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets and other financial control functions
Achieve financial objectives by anticipating requirement, submitting information for budget preparation, scheduling expenditures, monitoring costs and analyzing variances
Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
Receive and distribute mail
Capture and balance cash book
Responsible for the salary and wage control accounts as well as investment control accounts
VAT, Vantage, Pastel and policies control figures
Print and follow up of age analysis
Hand out job cards and follow up
Compile the monthly budget list
Process sundry creditors
Capture petty cash
Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising job results, and coaching, counselling and disciplining employees, initiating, co-ordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures
Responsible for creditor orders and GRV’s and creditor balancing
Process debtor’s deposits
Vantage Software corruptions
Schedule and attend staff and management meetings
Compile expense budget list
