EXPERIENCED ACCOUNTANT REQUIRED
Expanding company in the media marketing and advertising industry is looking to appoint an experience accountant. This is a new role created due to expansion and growth and offers exciting growth and development opportunities.
ROLE:
The Accountant will take care of the financial accounting and administrative duties in relation to the accountancy function, financial control and reconciliations. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the creditors’ ledger accurately and ensuring that all invoices are correct and up to date in terms of payment.
The Accountant should maintain the debtors’ ledger accurately and ensure that invoicing is done accurately and timeously, that all payments are received within the clients’ terms and accurately accounted for. This person will be responsible for reconciling customer accounts and sending monthly statements to customers. The person also needs to build and maintain relationships with clients. The ultimate goal for this person will be to provide and keep accurate and complete financial records for the company.
QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS:
• BComm or similar degree in Accounting (Management Accountant degree or any qualification in Company Law)
• 3 years’ relevant experience in an accounting position
• 3 years experience on a well-known accounting package (ACCPAC / Pastel)
• Thorough knowledge of SARS regulations, Companies Act, Income Tax
• Excel advanced level experience
• Ability and experience with budgets and forecasts
• Ability and experience with compiling management reports and interpreting reports
