Wetu is looking for an ambitious, suitably qualified Accountant to manage the accounting function within the business.

We are a fast growing business that is expanding internationally so we are looking for a dynamic hands-on person that is able to take the initiative, drive the accounting function and grow with the company. The person needs to work quickly and accurately, be inquisitive, show initiative, and be organised.

Responsibilities:
The person taking the job will be responsible (but not restricted to) the following elements:-

Running the ledger
Approval of all entries to the ledger processed by the bookkeeper
Generate an accurate trial balance
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Fixed Assets control
Debtors collections
Expense control
Financial management & analysis

Cash flow planning
Manage cash flow projections in a separate application used by the company

Budgeting
Preparation of the annual budgets
Generation of quarterly re-forecasts

Budgeting

Generation of quarterly re-forecasts

Statutory returns
Take responsibility for the timeous and accurate submission of all statutory returns

Education, experience & skills:

Although skills and experience are important, Wetu looks to hire on attitude, values and company fit.
accounting/commerce degree or equivalent professional qualification
minimum of 5 years accounting experience with at least 3 years experience in a similar role
advanced Excel or Gsheets user
Experience on Xero would be an advantage
good technical accounting skills
strong analytical skills
works accurately & quickly
