Exciting opportunity at a rapidly growing manufacturing company. Our client is a medium-sized manufacturing company and require an Accountant to become an integral part of their team. The successful candidate will be working collaboratively with the Group Accountant and one other Bookkeeper, but will report to the Financial Director.



Qualification:

BCom Hons Articles preferred



Skills & Experience:

2 -3 years Commerce experience

Evolution ERP System or Pastel Partner experience



Job Description:

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

Daily and monthly cash flow management

Banking

Forex monitoring

Debtors management

Review of all allocations done by Bookkeeper

Income statement reconciliations for all expense accounts, detailing variances between budget and actuals

Market updates to all markets analyzing expenses in terms of actuals and budgets every month

Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts

Suppliers reconciliations

Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets and goodwill

Monthly reconciling and agreeing of inter-company balances

Journal entries: re-allocations, accruals, prepayments, taxation

Liaison with auditors / bankers / insurers / suppliers

Statutory returns and assistance with tax computations

Documenting internal controls

Assistance with preparation of weekly wages and capturing hours (+-30 staff)

Maintaining petty cash

Full Accounting for one smaller company based off site
