Accountant

Successfully established property management and funding company based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking a suitably experienced Accountant to join their growing team.

Requirements:

Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting or similar.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a full Accounting function.
Pastel experience required or similar Accounting System.
Professional communication skills (both verbal and written).
Sound knowledge of accounting practices and principles.

Key areas of responsibility:

Full Accounting function.
Management accounting.
Understanding of financial statements.
Fixed asset management and control.
Statutory reports for VAT.
Preparing management reports.
Maintaining general ledger.
Preparing annual audit packs.
Ensuring legal standards and regulations are adhered to.
