Job Description:

Daily cash flow updates
Preparation of daily banking & deposits reports
Daily reconciliations between cash-ups on Micros & actual cash counted
Daily reconciliation of credit card transactions
Weekly reconciliation of total cash banked vs Cash reconciliations
Preparation of weekly sales reports
Daily importing of bank accounts and allocations on Sage
Daily & monthly preparation of payment packs & eft lists
Completion of credit applications
Payment of Customs VAT for Syrup imports
Full creditors function (daily capturing of invoices, matching delivery notes to invoices received from JHB office, creditor statement reconciliations, allocation of payments, follow up on long outstanding amounts)
Limited Debtors functions (daily assistance as required on invoicing, conversion of quotes to invoices for cash & eft sales, allocating daily payments received via remittances, discount journals, send claims to JHB office, oversee timeous response to client requests.)
Monthly Reconciliations
Capturing & Journal of Imperial sales
Monthly allocation of Imperial Sales via remittances obtained from Sharepoint
Monthly stock losses calculation for Imperial
Monthly preparation of banking sheet between CC & Pty cash
Monthly insurance, subscription, accrual & prepayment journals
Monthly review of all commissions payable
Monthly posting & reconciliation of company credit cards
Petty cash reconciliation & posting
Updating of fixed asset register and depreciation journals
Updating of stock pricing
Monthly Stock Valuations
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Monthly calculation of diesel litres and SARS rebate
Monthly VAT reconciliation & submissions
Provisional tax calculations
Provide Assistance to external auditors

Qualifications:

Qualified CA(SA)
Dynamic person with strong personality, must be able to work with difficult personalities within the group.
This person MUST be detailed orientated and know the VAT Act and IFRS extremely well
Experience in Manufacturing and Farming would be highly beneficial – please no audit managers, this person must have industry experience working as an accountant or FM.
Previous dealings with SAGE Online (Accounting System) will be beneficial
