JOB OBJECTIVE
• Implement and operationalise the financial plan
• Ensure accurate financial accounting and reporting
• Optimise internal controls
• Manage and prepare accurate forecasting

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Responsibility for the day-to-day financial functioning of companies, including maintenance of the respective general ledgers
• Cash flow Preparation (including Foreign payments) and reconciliation between forecast and actual.
• Facilitate cash payments, liaison with Bank/Head Office Treasury where required
• Accounts Receivable and Payable Age Analysis review
• Support Debtors team with collections, trading terms, debtors claims, credit notes etc
• Review of debtors, creditors and cashbook reconciliations.
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset register and ensuring all assets are tagged
• Review Marketing open PO's report with the Marketing Team.
• Preparation of weekly Treasury cash flow and Head Office weekly 17 weeks forecasting for creditors, debtors and inventory
• Review GL allocations and ensure correct Tax Codes (VAT) used to process invoices
• Manage intercompany balances processing and Head Office recharges
• Process monthly journals as well as accruals and provisions
• Prepare monthly Head Office reports, load and complete supporting schedules (COGNOS)
• Prepare tax calculations – VAT, Income Tax, Ad Valorem
• Assist with ERP system and variance analysis on results
• Assist with internal and external audit, prepare audit file and coordinating the audit process by liaising with auditors.
• Assistance in annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasts
• Prepare annual financial statements drafts.
• Prepare and attend to ad hoc analyses and reports as required

QUALIFICATION AND SKILS
• B.Com and/or CTA or studying towards
• 3 or more years in similar accounting position
• Working knowledge of Sage Evolution
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of VENA/ COGNOS (advantageous)
• Analytical skills
• Oral and written communication skills
• Team work and Leadership
