This role is suited for an individual ready to make a career move and coming from the retail or logistics industry. Ideal candidates must be SAICA registered and have 1 year post articles experience. This role is based in the Cape Town City bowl.

BCom Accounting / Financial Accounting degree (non-negotiable)



Skills & Experience:

Completed SAICA articles

Minimum 1 year experience in the retail or logistics industry

Strong systems experience

Excellent communication

Strong numerical ability



Job Description:

The Accountant will be responsible for:

Keeping accurate financial records and reconciliations of key accounts.

Maintaining accurate fixed asset registers.

Preparing and balancing of the bank reconciliations.

Performing cost bench-marking studies to identify areas of cost saving.

Monthly forecasting and annual budget preparation.

Measuring financial performance against key performance indicators.

Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.

Support and prepare for the annual financial audit.
