Accountant
Scope of job:

To ensure that the reporting data is accurate & on time in order to meet the group reporting deadlines
To be compliant i.e. statutory & legal requirements
To analyse the data provided in order to make proper financial decisions
To identify variances & put in place preventive controls

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

? Co-ordinate with mine administrators, as well as assistance to mines and
? internal staff
? Maintain chart of accounts / Accpac system Administrator functions
? Ensuring that the sub modules are reconciled to the general ledger
? Provisional / recurring and adjustment of journals
? Provisions and accruals for head office and mines
? General ledger reconciliations
? Control of fixed assets
? Compiling & analysing the Income Statements
? Input on a quarterly basis into group reporting i.e. Magnitude
? Input to monthly reporting, Flash, Income Statement and cash flow
? Liaising with banks and auditors
? Completion and submission of VAT
? Assist in budget
? Cashbook reconciliation
? Ad hoc request and duties from management
? Cost Control
? Invoicing
? Handling queries pertaining to expenses

A remuneration package of R 15 000.00 is on offer.
