Accounts Assistant Job | JHB | Lodge Operator
We are looking for an ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT to join a well known Lodge Group team in Bryanston's Head Office. It would be beneficial if the person had a hotel/lodge background.
Skills and experience required for this vacancy:
ACCPAC & Pastel knowledge - NON NEGOTIABLE
Matric
Higher education / training will be an advantage
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar field
Office hours are 08h30 to 17h00 Monday to Friday – not negotiable
Travel may be required from time to time, but this will be paid for by the company.
ASSISTING FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT AS FOLLOWS:
To accurately complete the daily, weekly and monthly returns, submitting these timeously on the prescribed format in accordance with company standards.
To reconcile and balance cash, floats and dockets ensuring that these tally with daily income and expenditure.
To notify management immediately of any variances in the above.
To ensure all documentation for the receipt and issuing of commodities is accurately completed.
To inform management of any shortages, surpluses or irregularities in connection with the above item and ensure that queries are handled immediately.
To assist with stocktaking at prescribed intervals.
To extend and process stocktaking figures accurately and timeously.
To ensure that petty cash vouchers and relevant documentation are securely and systematically kept.
To ensure that control systems are operating effectively within agreed parameters.
CREDITORS
Process all invoices ensuring they are matched to relevant purchase orders and authorised.
File all paid documentation promptly.
Check and process all credit notes and allocate as necessary.
Liaise with all creditors and suppliers.
Review all supplier statements ensuring all documentation has been received and processed accordingly.
Produce weekly aged creditors lists and take appropriate action to clearing down the outstanding items.
Produce month end aged creditors lists with commentary, no later than 5 working days after the month end, for review.
DEBTORS
To liaise with all clients holding account facilities.
To timeously send out invoices & follow up on client queries.
To timeously send out statements & follow up on payments due as & when required.
GENERAL
To complete general administrative duties as is required of the position.
Assist in the statutory reporting to local authorities.
Start: ASAP - subject to a mutual agreement
Salary:
Up to R 14000 per month Cost to Company
The above includes a 13% compulsory provident fund contribution
Medical aid (on Employee request) but this forms part of the CTC package
