Our client has a vacancy for Acquisition Management *1-Kimberly, *1 North West, * 1WC-Cape town and *1 East London

Job purpose:

To source the best Information Communication Technology goods and services at best value for the organisation and government and focus on the most priority ICT areas for government

Responsibilities:

· Develop Acquisition Management operational plan that is aligned to the Acquisition Management Strategy for the operationalization and implementation of the Demand / Resource plan;
·Lead communication with clients to ensure effective operationalization of Acquisition Management activities;
·Facilitate the promotion of BEE and SMME suppliers within the SCM process in order to develop the indigenous ICT sector
·Monitor the end to end sourcing process through effective management of the procurement processes and overall life cycle management of the contract in order to achieve economies of scale and ensure compliance to regulations, and any instructions issued by National Treasury from time to time
·Monitor and review contract performance regularly in order to maximise benefit and value in the operationalization of the contract
·Manage resources (i.e. budget/finances, asset/equipment and staff) within the Unit in order to ensure the efficient operation of Unit.

Qualifications and Experience:

·Minimum: National Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Business Management/ Public Finance/
·Commercial Law and/or equivalent. Registration with Supply Chain Management professional bodies will serve as an added advantage.
·Experience: 5 - 6 years’ experience within the Supply Chain Management and Procurement environment of which 4 years should be at supervisory/management level in the Corporate/ Public Sector organization

·Broad Black Based Economic Empowerment; Treasury Regulations; Basic IT knowledge Treasury Regulations; Basic IT knowledge

Other Special Requirements

·The incumbent will be required to travel to other organisation’s offices around the country.
