Pastel Accountant /Payroll and Lodge Reservations
Small farm and a growing game reserve with a commercial lodge and an upcoming B&B in the Elands Valley (70km outside Nelspruit on the N4) is looking for a Bookkeeper / PA with profound experience in Pastel accounting and payroll HR management.
The ideal candidate will have to work well under pressure, be flexible and have experience with all aspects of bookkeeping and the Pastel accounting system.
You will also need experience with Pastel Payroll to do the monthly salary run and you will also be involved in the handling of bookings for the Game Reserve (hospitality background an advantage) on our booking system.
You need to be results-oriented, a team player, exact, a problem solver, have a high costumer service orientation, strong knowledge of Pastel and Payroll software and be willing to step into other roles as required on the farm and by the director.
This can be a live in or live out position depending on the candidate.
Book keeper:
• Creditors and debtors – processing, bank statements, invoicing for a minimum of 4 different companies.
• Vat and other monthly submissions to SARS.
• Reconciliations of VAT accounts.
• Reconciliations of accounts.
• Reconciliations of bank statements.
• Petty cash processing.
• Possibly payroll or assistance with payroll for a minimum of 4 different companies.
• Year end financials and trial balances will be advantageous
HR Management:
• Control hours worked and prepare salary slips on a monthly basis
• Prepare contracts, and other HR documents and do leave control
Reservations:
• Answer emails and do quotes on accommodation at the lodge and B&B
• Do reservations and payment control on reservations system
Minimum requirements:
• Fluent in English, both verbally and written. Other languages will be advantageous.
• Neat and well presented and excellent communication skills.
• Friendly, outgoing and professional.
• Must have self-initiative and work well under pressure
• Must meet required skills as per above position details and have previous experience.
• Valid driver’s licenced and own vehicle.
