Main purpose of the job
To provide administrative support to the Wits University CPD Faculty Committee and to ensure efficient processing, reviewing and approval of applications.

Key performance areas
Administer all CPD applications, accreditation and points logging:
Ensure that CPD applications are submitted and all necessary documentation is attached as well as processing of applications.
Ensure correct allocation of CPD points for Committee’s approval.
Process applications for both internal and external Providers for review by Chair of CPD Committee.
Maintain CPD database to ensure data integrity.
Prepare and distribute CPD Committee agenda and minutes prior to the meeting.
Provide customer support and feedback:
Liaise with providers and practitioners with regards to applications, CPD points and certification.
Provide training on the workbook.
Printing of certificates for Practioners upon requests.
Liaise with HPCSA statutory body on guidelines.
CPD filing of application, registers and certificates.
Generate and compile reports:
Prepare HPCSA report for accreditation approval by the Council.
Prepare and check schedules of applications and activities for the CPD Committee review.
Compiling a report for Finance on number of invoices raised for the month.
Print out of age analysis before and after receipting.
Invoicing and Debtor Management:
Follow up on the outstanding accounts/debtors monthly.
Receipting on access database.
Invoicing on Access as well as SAGE & print out age analysis on SAGE X3 to balance with Access database.
Liaise with Finance department on outstanding accounts.
Allocate payments and check bank statements.

Required minimum education and training
Grade 12

Required minimum work experience
Minimum of two years administrative work experience as well as basic accounting

Additional education, work experience and personal abilities
Experience and knowledge in the CPD and Research environment.
Good administrative skills together with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Access).
High level of precision, accuracy and attention to detail.
Able to exercise discretion and independent decision-making.
Ability to prioritize own work load, take initiative (pro-active) and work to tight deadlines.
Self-motivated with a high regard for work ethic, values and integrity.
