Advertising Co-ordinator

Job Description
To coordinate and manage all promotional jobs for the KZN Divisions& Swaziland whilst adhering to strict timelines.
Liaise between the buying community and the advertising agency on creating a promotion and ensuring that the items, prices, images and general information used for advertising is correct at the time of publication.

Qualifications Essential
• Matric
Experience Essential
• Experience in a Retail Buying environment (2-3 years)

Desirable
•Retail promotions experience (1-2 years)
•Print media/digital channels (1-2 years)
Knowledge Essential
• Computer Literacy
Desirable
• Basic promotions workflow
Skills Essential
•Time management skills
•Problem solving skills

Job objectives
1. Coordinate and manage the workflow for all Shoprite, Checkers and LiquorShop adverts (print, TV, radio, point of sale and digital)
2. Create and brief advertising jobs on our in house system
3. Assign items to jobs
4. Ensure that accurate promotion details are published by reviewing and commenting on advert revisions
5. Manage workflow and timeline for each activity in accordance with the deadlines
6. Approve adverts
7. Manage relationship between buying community and the third party advertising, media and production agencies media and production vendors
8.Managing of 3 to 4 co coordinators who report directly to you.
