Our client, a leading independent global body representor for the Procurement and Supply profession in 150 countries worldwide, is seeking an Africa Education and Membership Manager to support and develop the growth and quality of the study centres. The role will further support the procurement community in South Africa in order to increase membership numbers and retention of members.

About the company:

Our client, a leading independent global body representor for the Procurement and Supply profession in 150 countries worldwide, is seeking an Africa Education and Membership Manager to support and develop the growth and quality of the study centres. The role will further support the procurement community in South Africa in order to increase membership numbers and retention of members. 

Duties:

  • Responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting on the education and membership budget for South Africa; including cost-control, analysis of the education environment and reporting to Head of the Professional Body
  • Responsible and accountable for growing the study centre and exam centre network in South Africa to increase the education footprint and quality of education provision  
  • Responsible and accountable for the overall growth of membership numbers through the development and implementation of recruitment and retention strategies
  • Responsible for providing support to study centres to increase teaching excellence
  • Responsible for developing relationships with, and supporting, University, and other education partners, with respect to accreditation of programs
  • Responsible and accountable for engagement with and development of South Africa membership groups
  • Act as the product champion for internal and external stakeholders to ensure end to end service excellence for all education products 
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of membership and education strategy
  • Responsible and accountable for setting operational plans to deliver the strategy
  • Responsible and accountable for analysing on a monthly basis education and membership statistics  identifying trends and variances to budget and targets

Requirements:

  • Post Graduate Degree
  • Teaching Qualification
  • Financial and Business Acumen
  • Knowledge of and experience in the learning and development sector
  • Highly IT literate
  • Financial awareness and managing budgets
  • Experience of working in a customer focussed environment
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously in a complex education business landscape
  • High level of integrity and professional conscience
  • Skilled communicator; demonstrable ability to motivate and influence others
  • Highly organised and structured
