AFRICAN ART GALLERY MANAGER – INTERNATIONALLY OWNED WINE ESTATE, STELLENBOSCH

African Art Gallery based on an internationally owned wine estate in Stellenbosch is currently recruiting for an Art Gallery Manager. The gallery offers a unique blend of art, craft and contemporary design that can be best described as “New African”, with an urban, edgy and vibrant offering with echoes of the traditional forms of old Africa.

The main focus of the gallery is the support and nurturing of local artists, craftspeople and designers.

APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS
• Gr 12
• Tertiary qualification in Art & Design preferred
• Excellent knowledge of African Art & Design
• Minimum of two years previous art gallery management experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills – comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele
• Excellent communication skills – 3rd language preferred
• Impeccably groomed
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent staff management skills
• Driver’s License & own reliable transport essential

Hospitality hours & shift work applies, 5-day workweek, 2 days off
