Or client requires a candidate with a Degree or Diploma in mechanical or Electrical engineering and a minimum of 3 years Project engineering experience from the automotive industry. You must have proven experience in Design and project management software. Your function is to Coordinate activities to design, manufacture, and test new products or components, including all aspects of program management for introduction of new After Market applications, and assists with OE projects by performing the following duties: Coordinate activities to design new products, modify existing designs and support production activities relating mainly to aftermarket products. Manage all aspects of new product implementation, both AM and potentially OE, including customer communication for engineering activities, project timing tracking, creation of bills of material, creation of engineering drawings, project budget control. Validation of product design criteria, by DV testing versus customer and internal engineering specifications. Initiating and processing of New Business Enquiry document and Costing Bill of Material, for quotation purposes during the feasibility study of any new / changed product enquiry. Resolves problems using solutions that may involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts. Liaise with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products. Must have a working knowledge of safety and environmental policies and regulations. Support to Quality department through investigation and root cause determination of quality and warranty issues. Salary commensurate with experience.
