• B.Agric or BSc (Agric)
• Min 3 years experience as field agronomist/agriculturalist. Wide technical knowledge and insight into the South African agricultural environment.
• Liaison frequently with customers to interpret and explain analytical data.
• Support Laboratory output verification by interpretation of analytical data.
• Develop and maintain a LIMS logic algorithm for soil, sap and plant result verification.
• Providing agronomic support to clients.
• Act as consultant for farmers and small businesses.
• Experiment, plan and conduct studies in the laboratory to ultimately improve crop yields by the use of mathematical and analytical skills.
• When required, convert complex data and information into a serviceable format for public consumption.
• Responding diplomatically and coach people to sensitive issues regarding findings, internally or externally.
• Become proficient in all methods of analyses.
• SANAS IEC/ISO 17025 Technical Signatory.
• Advanced Computer literacy.
• Exceptional communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
• The ability to function independently, and within a team.
• The ability to function well under pressure.
• High level of integrity.
• Hands on approach to problem solving.
