Agronomist

Educational Requirements:
Undergraduate or Masters degree in Agronomy, Agri Business or related.


Mindset: (Nice to have)
• Has a passion or eagerness to promote products that are good for the environment.

Job Requirement:

• At least 3-5 years hands on experience working with farmers in managing trials and sales support
• Strong network of farmers, dealers and distributors
• Experience in providing technical training
• Good communication and presentation skills – verbal and written.
• Loves working in the field - ability to work outside in heat or cold and to walk several miles per day
• Ability to work independently and follow through on goals without close supervision.
• Proficient computer skills – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.


Responsibilities:

• Reach out to network of farmers, present products, solicit trials
• Consistently increase the number of trials conducted
• Managing field trials
• Gather, compile, analyze, interpret results and provide progress reports
• Making recommendations to farmers to help achieve efficient crop production
• Soil sampling and analysis
• Conduct educational workshops
• Crop budgeting and planning
• Developing protocols for product usage
• Crop rotation planning recommendations
• Desire to remain updated with new agricultural techniques, trends and practices.
