Job description
There is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join the Airfreight Exports operations in a portfolio which will require operational support to the projects, oil & gas and marine vertical.  He/she will be responsible for daily shipments, from collection to final delivery, including a full clearing and forwarding process.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Opening of files.
Trigger status codes.
Ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved by solving problems efficiently and satisfactorily.
Ensure strict credit control guidelines.
Responsible to keep accurate Accruals.
Liaison between clients and the O&G Community.
Ensure that excellent levels of housekeeping are maintained in all areas of the department.
Proactive communication.
Report back all day to day activities to Export Manager/ Jnb ZA-O
Entering correct/ accurate information into CIEL/ACON/ SALog programs all shipments.
Ensure final update of the export files by entering status 22/30 including the electronic archiving of the files.
Checking incoming invoices/credit notes and booking in Acon Customer requests to be replied in time or advise intermediate reply.
On time and accurate invoicing (ATS/ATA).
Maintain CIEL quotation in case contract is in place.
Responsibility towards the Oil and Gas vertical:  
Airfreight operational / product related.
Follow appropriate Oil and Gas working instructions for all Oil and Gas shipments booked and handled.
Book shipments to the selected Oil and Gas standard.
Advise customers at a shipment level of the most appropriate service level and describe to clients the detail of the service to be provided.
Clearly understand the Oil and Gas support documentation (Carrier Assessments, Lane Risk Assessments and Working Instructions) required to deliver Oil and Gas service levels.
Support customers by answering calls and requests associated with future bookings and in transit shipments
Answer requests from the Oil and Gas community in order to ensure that the KN global Oil and Gas shipment monitoring capability is delivered.
Compliance / standards related:
Deliver O&G minimum standards for every booked shipment.
O&G compliance of all tasks completed
Communication:
Support Station lead through the communication of current issues and continuous improvement opportunities identified during personal work.

 Your skills and experience
*Relevant commerce degree/diploma or any other NQF 4 level qualification will be a distinct advantage.
*Minimum 5 years relevant experience in freight forwarding industry with demonstrated exposure to exports environment and projects specific to Oil and Gas.
*Service oriented and able to drive root cause analysis and problem resolution.  
*Strong verbal and written communication skills especially in English.
*Self-disciplined and self-motivated to achieve targets and adequate levels of productivity.
*Excellent understanding of the airfreight market. 
*Proven ability to research, and interpret relevant information to advise customers adequately regarding export files.
*Ability to work in a team and proactively share information to enable customer excellence.
*Proven-in depth understanding of relevant statutory requirements for the airfreight importand export markets.
*Candidates must be South African citizens or hold applicable work permits to work in the country.  
*Suitable candidates will be subject to relevant background checks to ensure internal governance and customer requirements are fulfilled.
