Our client is looking for someone with a strong Finance & Retail experience & qualifications.


Key Purpose


To implement Business Unit Business Plans and National Strategy to ensure Company derives maximum profit and growth within the business unit. 


Key Responsibilities



  • Effective strategy development and implementation

  • Co-ordination and review of existing strategies

  • Market analysis and analytical skills

  • Align department to achieve strategic business objectives

  • Stakeholder engagement, regular feedback and interaction with sales on strategy performance and implementation


Specific Outcomes



  • Convenience strategy encompassing all elements and APO’s (Alternative Profit Opportunities) in place

  • Communication to all key stakeholders

  • Implementation of Change Management programs where necessary

  • Development of a Balanced Scorecard reporting tool

  • Monthly updates at Retail and Marketing Mancoms

  • Compliance reports and monitoring of Company’s performance in respect of conditions and obligations to key strategic partners in relation to the Heads of Agreement that we have signed

  • Ensuring that each portfolio delivers sub strategies and initiatives as agreed

  • Ensuring annual review of all sub-strategies

  • Market intelligence

  • Market trends

  • Matrixing with key Stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience



  • Bcom/Bachelors degree in Commerce or related field

  • Post-graduate qualification in Business Management (advantageous)

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the Petroleum Retail sector

  • Valid Drivers License
