Analyst Collections Strategy

Salary: R470 K CTC neg
Area: CBD

Opportunity exists in national financial services company to develop, test and implement prevention, collection and / or recovery strategies for existing customer base by using data analysis and predictive modelling techniques. Track strategy performance and report on trends. Report on portfolio and operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Duties incl collection strategy development, implementation, tracking and analysis, forecasting and MI production, collection data management
• Proven ability in analytics, business acumen and presenting / communicating recommendations across all organisation levels
• Knowledge and application of risk management techniques across the entire credit life cycle on consumer portfolios
• Understanding of financial metrics in relation to portfolio management and the associated forecasting thereof.
• Proficiency in SAS including use of SAS macros; or equivalent structured language analytical software
• Proficiency in SQL; understanding of stored procedures, indexes, functions is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of Visio and VBA is an advantage
• Comprehensive understanding of portfolio fields and data relationships in order to improve the analytical recommendations
• University degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Risk Management or equivalent.
• At least 2 years analytical experience on a consumer portfolio (loans, credit cards, private label cards, etc.) in either growth or collections strategies
• Collection and recovery strategy development and implementation experience in unsecured products
• Experience with CAMS & Vision or data output from them is an advantage
