We are looking to recruit an Analyst/Developer to work at our clients offices in Cape Town.

The purpose of this role will be to support systems in an integrated language environment, with an emphasis on development using embedded SQL and Microsoft.Net (C#/VB).

Job Objectives:
• General system support.
• Programming and Systems Analysis.
• Provide support to other members of the team and user base.
• User liaison and business requirements analysis.
• Requirements and specification documentation.

Education and Experience:
• Relevant technical or business qualification (degree/diploma) essential.
• Minimum 3+ years IT experience.
• Experience with UML, SQL Server, DTS and SSIS packages, Remoteware, IBM WebSphere Minimum 3 years system analysis and design experience.
• Working experience in either C#.Net and/or VB.Net development language.
• Experience with IBM MQ series is an added advantage.
• Application Server (advantageous).

Job related knowledge and skills:
• Minimum 3+ year’s C#.Net and/or VB.Net development language.
• RPG/AS400 programming knowledge is an added advantage
• Minimum 3+ years of SQL programming on SQL Server 2000/2005/2008.
• Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Understanding of Retail and Loyalty environment.
• Sound structured programming and technical skills.
• Knowledge of Web Service development.
