ANALYST DEVELOPER
1 year contract: R45 000 - R50 000 pm CTC

Analyst Developer WANTED within a financial services group listed the JSE. The group operates in the market through multiple client-facing brands including insurance and investments. Looking for a dynamic individual who has industry knowledge and experience

RESPONSIBIILITIES

• Rapidly assimilating system technicalities and functionality
• Analysing environment/user problems to assist with keeping the environment stable
• Studying the technical or program specifications to gain an in-depth understanding of the applications
• Designing the program logic to meet the functional requirements as specified and deciding on the best coding techniques to ensure optimum program performance
• Creating computer programs to make the computer perform the operations detailed in the specifications, whilst adhering to existing programming standards
• Creating programme documentation
• Actively assisting with the development of effective team cultures
• Analysis of system problems and minor system changes
• Other tasks as directed from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

• A relevant B-degree/Diploma in Information Technology or National Diploma in IT or Data Metrics
• Minimum of 8 years relevant IT experience
• Expertise in one or more of the relevant programming languages ( Java, C#, .Net, C, C++, Delphi)
• Expertise in some / all of the environments the client works in, viz Windows, Microsoft’s, .Net Framework, Weblogic, JDK, UDB, ASP, .NET, XML, XSD, SOA, SQL, SQL Server
