Key Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and supporting the Oracle SOA platform and ensuring its performance, availability and security, as a member of the Life Infrastructure Application team along with other middleware technologies supported by the team.
Key Outputs
•Day to day maintenance of the Middleware environments
•Responsible for ensuring availability and performance
•To proactively monitor the systems to ensure minimum downtime
•Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the solutions, including upgrades
•Responsible for implementation and release of middleware related changes
•Providing technical middleware and performance advice to development teams
•Middleware capacity management
•General middleware troubleshooting
•Implementation of Discovery standards and procedures
•Life Infrastructure standby duties

Essential Technical Competencies:
•Proven Oracle SOA experience in Oracle 11g
•Experience in using Oracle Enterprise Manager
•Experience in managing multiple middleware solutions on large systems
•Experience in monitoring and tuning middleware solutions
•Automation methodologies ( Linux shell scripting, perl, jenkings )
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
•BSc Comp Sc/ BSc Info Systems or equivalent tertiary qualification
•The applicant MUST have 4-5 years relevant Oracle SOA middleware experience.

Preferable
•Oracle certification, preferably OCP, in Oracle 11g or above
•Healthcare industry environment knowledge
