Our client is looking for a professional Architect and Space Planner who will plan, design and prepare detailed drawings and plans for construction work in support of the Project Management Team. The successful candidate will also provide services related to the maintenance and upkeep of Facilities AutoCAD drawings and real estate data, manage space efficiency to decrease occupancy costs; optimize utilization through accurate space allocation and charge back

Key responsibilities
- Provide architectural services for building upgrades, renovations and interior fit-out projects.
- Design and prepare architectural layouts, finishes and furniture specifications for proposed or ongoing building projects.
- Present design concepts to internal clients with detailed scenarios, including space configuration/allocation.
- Participate in project meetings to review office construction remodels and workstation reconfigurations.
- Submit drawings/plans to local authorities for approval and serve as principal liaison to local government planning authorities
- Provide principal leadership in the area of heritage buildings and approve plans for work in historically significant areas.

Qualifications and experience
-A Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma in Architecture and minimum of three to five years’ experience in the field of Architecture/Interior Architecture with drafting experience
- Solid AutoCAD knowledge and experience.
- Proficiency with Revit, Photoshop, PowerPoint and Visio.
- Understand and apply building regulations and related legislation including the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Understand different space measurement techniques such as SAPOA etc.
- Working knowledge of CAFM space management/property management application.
