Area Group Leader, Pretoria

Market Related Basic Salary Plus Benefits

Pretoria (Pretoria Industrial), South Africa (Gauteng)

Permanent skilled level position.

Benefits: Medical.

Area Group Leader, Pretoria based motor manufacturer.

Ensure colleagues within area’s adhere to the Company’s rules and regulations as documented in the Code of Conduct;

Ensure that housekeeping is maintained in the incumbent’s area of responsibility (5S standards);

Ensure safe work practices as defined during Induction and other Health and Safety training e.g. Factory regulations, protective clothing and equipment;

Record and report all damaged cases and components;

Elevate unresolved problems or queries to Supervisor for resolution;

Perform daily Team Talks with the team;

Attend required operational meetings and provide feedback to the superior;

Ensure all subordinates work to relevant procedures at all times;

Control and ensure material flow in area;

Address all non-conformances and queries on a daily basis;

Carry on checks on equipment e.g. Forklift and equipment

Checklists;

Ensure effective and accurate record keeping on all required

records/reports that you are responsible for;    

Motivate your team through effective communication and leadership skills;

Ensure KPI’s and start-up checks are completed correctly and timeously;

Perform continuous inspections in the area of your responsibility to ensure conformance to processes, procedures and standard operating sheets;

Provide training and guidance in accordance to applicable processes, procedures and standard operating sheets to colleagues within your area of responsibility;

Maintain a motivated team and effectively apply communication and leadership skills.

Grade 12;

Supervisory and leadership experience

Sound knowledge of the operations processes and in addition at least two years related experience

Ability to make sensible decisions

Ability to work and think logically

Socially confident

Good communication and presentation skills;

Integrity and honesty;

High energy levels;

Assertiveness and Attention to detail.
