We are currently partnering with a leader in the Banking sector to recruit an experienced candidate with extensive knowledge of Banking industry.

The successful candidate will be a compelling communicator who will keep this highly reputable organization’s vision and values at the forefront of decision making and actions. This analytical person will utilise their exemplary business acumen to assess economic, financial, market, and industry data to evaluate specific business opportunities; identify trends and anticipate their impact. Customer focus will be crucial in this role and you will need to be determined to ensure that service practices meet the customers’ and the organization’s needs. The purpose of this role is manage staff and operational functions by advising clients and stakeholders on products, processes, systems to help them reach their objectives.

Responsibilities will include:

Ensuring that all individual and department results are delivered within budget and to deadlines
Ensure that services delivered are to the client expectations and in-line with company standards
Provide agreed information, resources, professional advice and strategic contribution (on time, in budget, within quality standard)
Translate strategy into operational and project plans in-line with budgets 2
Identify risks and effectively managed to optimise value
Optimise the effectiveness of resources, systems, processes and practices resulting in increased productivity
Improve productivity and smooth day-to-day operations
Identify and solve problems timeously to ensure improved department results
Ensure that compliance regulations are in line with company standards
Build depth of skills and knowledge within the team of managers by sharing knowledge and insight with team members, ensuring mentoring, coaching and day to day activities.
Ensure continuous improvement goals are achieved by creating an environment whereby the team are encouraged to challenge the status quo, initiate constructive debates about work practices and areas for improvement.
Ensure transformational target are met through consideration of targets during staff recruitment, retention and training process

Essential Criteria for this role:

Diploma or Bachelor of Commerce: Business Management Experience running a team within a Banking environment
Experience coaching and mentoring others to build a community of leaders
Ability to developing a divisional strategy plan
Proven ability to managing business risks
Ability to formulating and implement communication strategies
Ability to conducting benchmarking exercises to investigate improvement opportunities
Exceptional networking and relationship building skills
5 - 8 years in operational process environment, 2 of which must be in managing a team
