The Area Manager drives excellence in day-to-day operations of their assigned Districts / Zones, ensuring that the changes implemented in the market are BR compliant.

Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

1. Operational Requirements
2. Brand Standards & Regulations Compliance
3. Reporting
4. Leadership
5. Store Visits

Requirements:

• Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent education
• Retail or Hospitality Diploma or Degree preferred ( FMCG related )
• A minimum of 5 – 10 years working experience in a QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) Environment
• Understanding of restaurant profit & loss statements, food & paper cost calculations and other key drivers affecting restaurant profitability
• Proven track record of Managing Teams and working effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, results-oriented team environment
• Management Experience is essential , together with QSR Financial Acumen and P&L Understanding
• Proficiency in English, Afrikaans and a third language would be advantageous.
• Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills
• Displays effective leadership and Management Skills
• Financial and analytical acumen.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Knowledge of the QSR Market and the ability to interpret trends / competitor analysis
• Ability to perform budgeting and forecasting exercises for the Region / Areas
• Knowledge of Training Needs Analysis ( TNA )
• Knowledge of Performance Management and conducting of performance discussions
• Ability to measure and act on key performance indicators ( KPI’s ) and Analytics such as Turnover ; Business Profitability ; ROI
• Ability to work independently with little direct supervision in a field based setting
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which can vary and which may require travel from time to time
• Possess the ability to collaborate and interact with multiple constituents in order to achieve stated financial targets and other operational goals
