Area Service Manager, Nelspruit
Our client in the materials handling industry is looking for an Area Service Manager in Nelspruit. The ideal candidate must have a technical qualification with at least 5 years experience on Forklift fleet management, relevant managerial experience and solid hydraulics and electrical knowledge. The candidate will oversee forklift fleet maintenance and servicing while ensuring profitability and cost control. The successful candidate will manage the existing contracts, develop new business opportunities and must have very good customer relations and good people skills to build lasting relationships.
Requirements:
• Diesel/ Petrol Mechanic Trade Certificate
• At least 5 years Forklift and managerial experience
• Hydraulics and auto-electrical knowledge
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Valid Lift Truck Licence
The successful candidates will:
• Responsible for quality on servicing and maintenance of Forklifts
• Control maintenance contract/long term rental units
• Control all cost on all maintenance contract/ long term rental contracts
• Control all accidental damage on fleet
• Control WIP and manage business in line with set KPIs
• Manage contract GP’s in line with KPIs
• Schedule monthly meetings and carry out unit Service audits to set standards
• Quoting on foreign machines and equipment
• Ensure Technicians work within the set hours and manage excess hours
• Responsible for testing of all units within the specified cycle and repairs
• Manage vehicle conditions on monthly basis
• Present monthly financial performance in line with set targets
• Ensure all readings are recorded monthly audited, approved and filed
• Adherence to Safety rules and procedures
