DUTIES

1. To maintain the training and assessment activities including trainee documentation undertaken by MCTA's assessors through observation, internal audits and verification of portfolios, and agree on a plan of remedial action where individuals fall short of standards,
2. To liaise with ETQA and ensure assessors are provided with up to date guidance on the consistent delivery of qualifications
3. To deliver underpinning knowledge off job training to support work based qualifications
4. To provide coaching to new and existing staff to ensure their performance meets the requirements of MTCA's training and they have the skills and knowledge needed to meet business objectives
5. To arrange and chair standardization meetings
6. To travel to appropriate locations and carry out assessments with candidates, as and when required
7. To liaise with relevant persons to ensure all learners who have to complete functional skills are supported appropriately
8. Ensure that all systems and records are efficiently effectively
9. assisting in ensuring the policies for equal opportunities, health and safety, safe guiding, disability discrimination, and complaint procedures are followed.
10. To keep up to date with qualification changes and disseminate to assessors
11. To attend monthly meetings as required by MCTA and external bodies
12. To assist with learner entitlement documentation and placement health and safety checks
13. To work flexibly and effectively to maintain the highest professional standards
14. To carry out administrative work associated with this role

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. NQF level 3 or equivalent occupational qualification
2. Five years relevant occupational experience
3. Experience with IQA workplace assessments
4. A thorough understanding of competence bases training, functional skills and apprenticeship programmes
5. thorough understanding of awarding organisation requirements
6. Able to work on own initiative
7. Ability to work as part of a team
8. Excellent communication skills

DESIRABLE SKILLS

1. IT literate
2. Key skills at level 2 or willing to work towards.
