A large corporate entity is ready to welcome an Assistant Accountant to their team. This is a rather senior position that requires at least a minimum of 5 years commercial experience. Experience in the management of a team is incredibly important. You will be exposed to but not limited to supervision, review transactional activities, reviewing payments and cashflow forecasts. Job Description:

Actively provide supervision to the accounting team ensuring timely submission of accurate deliverables.

Ensure the reviewing of transactional activities including creditors, debtors, travel, foreign exchange and cash.

Take control of the reviewing and approving of payments proposals to ensure payments are actioned timeously.

Make sure to review cash flow forecasts and assist with cash flow management.

Actively supervise and maintain the integrity, accuracy and completeness of fixed asset register.

Ensure to review all reconciliations prepared by subordinates and prepare reconciliations upon request.

Take control and coordinate information such as compiling primary financial statement lead schedules for group reporting pack.

Ensure to assist with submission of monthly, half year and annual group reporting.

Make sure that there is tax, VAT and customs statutory compliance, and that the reporting and payment requirements are met.

Form close relationships with stakeholders, key clients and suppliers.

Actively challenge processes and develop recommendations for standardization and efficiency improvements.
