Assistant Audit Manager
CA - Compulsory
Purpose:

A well-known financial accounting organization urgently is seeking a an Assistant Audit Manager to join their organization who will be responsible for all aspects of delivering audit engagements, from planning through to completion on a broad spectrum of public and private sector clients, including executive level client interaction and exposure to various clients

Key Job Outputs:

Manage a portfolio of audits
Lead the delivery of audit and assurance engagements from planning, execution of audit fieldwork through to completion
Ensure that the quality of the audits are effectively and efficiently managed within the allocated resources
Supervising and coaching junior members of staff
Review audit working papers on a regular basis
Attend to requests of the Senior Management relating to audits
Discuss findings and recommendations with relevant senior line management
Create and maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients
Build a positive image by exceeding client expectations
Support teams in all aspects of the firm’s methodology and play a key part driving improvements in quality
Working on audit tenders and any other relevant business development initiatives
Technical skills requirements:

Thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques
Understanding of PFMA, MFMA, IFRS and local GAAP
Strong project management techniques
Excellent report writing and analytical skills
Experience of the entire audit process
Detailed understanding of risk-based auditing and risk and control strategies
Understanding of Quality & Risk Management (Q&RM) procedures
Compliance with and understanding of regulatory requirements
Exceptional communication skills; both written and verbal
Qualifications:

CA (SA)
Audit Development Programme (ADP) – an advantage
Experience:

1 - 3 years post article’s experience of which 1 year should be in a junior management level
Extensive external audit experience within a professional services environment
At least 3 years proven experience auditing public sector entities
IT literacy with sound knowledge and experience of Excel/Word and Audit Tools
Salary: 600K CTC
