My client, a home based Accounting business in Flamingo Vlei (Table View) requires a bookkeeper to ASSIST the Accountant with the following duties:

Going out to clients to process their monthly bookkeeping
Handling in house bookkeeping clients
Pastel processing up to Trial balance – cashbooks, bank reconciliations, debtors, creditors, petty cash, stock
Drafting of monthly management accounts and reports
VAT calculations and reconciliations
Payroll calculations and reconciliations
Preparation of statutory returns – VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and Workmen’s Compensation
Completion of VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and Workmen’s Compensation registration forms
Attending SARS appointments
Assistance with tax returns and SARS queries
Dealing with general queries from clients
Assistance with annual returns and statutory documents – CIPC

The candidate must meet the following requirements:

Own reliable transport is essential (no bus routes in Flamingo Vlei)
2 to 3 years relevant experience
Accounting Diploma/Degree
Previous experience working in an accounting practice
Pastel experience is essential
Xero, Quickbooks and Simple pay experience is advantageous
Computer literate in word, excel and outlook
SARS e-filing and ****@*****.*** experience is essential
Good understanding of debits and credits and accounting principles
Fluent in Afrikaans and English

Salary: R10 000 - R13 000
