One of our clients, a well-known Retailer in Brackenfell, currently has a vacancy for an Assistant Corporate Social Investment Manager.
The successful incumbent will assist the CSI Manager in managing and implementing social corporate social investment projects for the Company in order to maintain and build on-going relationships with the communities where the Group trades.

Job objectives:

• Develop mechanisms to drive employee volunteerism
• Attending relevant industry events, conferences and seminars
• Maintaining a keen understanding of publicity for CSI within the corporate world, and specifically the international landscape and make appropriate recommendations
• Identify opportunities for the Publicity Team to use the CSI portfolio to generate positive publicity for the Company
• Acting as a spokesperson for the Company when required by the business

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification, Degree of Diploma in Development Studies, Economics, Public Relations or similar
• 3 – 5 years Social Investment and/or community development experience will be essential
• 3 – 5 years Corporate experience (specifically in the international retail landscape) will be essential
• 3 – 5 years Compliance benefits experience, including B-BBEE scorecard, tax exemptions etc.
• 3 – 5 years CSI initiatives aligned to strategy experience
• 3 – 5 years Collaboration experience with a wide range of stakeholders, including business units, executive leadership and not-for-profit partners.
• Must have a sound knowledge of financial and budget principles and experience with payment processing, managing budgets, contracts and agreements.
• Sound knowledge of Google Suite (including Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides)
• Project Management
• Must have the ability to manage a group of service providers in pursuit of a shared goal
• Experience in implementing CSI projects in alignment with the Group CSI vision and strategy.
• Must be able to maintain and build relationships with partner organisations, as well as engaging and collaborating with stakeholders
• Assist with the procurement process, annual budget process, quarterly reporting and on-going monitoring of all projects and expenses by applying knowledge of compliance benefits, including B-BBEE scorecard, tax exemptions, etc.
