A Certified Top Employer (2014) is looking for an experienced Assistant Food and Beverage Manager for one of their 3* Hotels to support the Food and Beverage Manager in the daily running of the department Qualifications :Formal Hotel Management QualificationGrade 12 (Matric)Computer Systems :MS OfficeEasipos / MicrosExperience :Minimum 2 years in a similar position, including Banqueting and Restaurant supervision Responsible for all guest services and admin in F&B DepartmentEnsure that efficient, prompt and friendly service is provided to the guest at all timesDuring meal times, be on the restaurant floor to check service levelsConduct a staff briefing at the beginning of each shift and allocate staff to perform specific tasks if necessaryEnsure that the "Meet & Greet" procedure is adhered to at all timesEnsure that the staff is aware of the company's procedures and standardsMonitor business levels constantly and ensure that there is enough staff to provide outstanding customer service at all timesEnsure that bar stock levels are adhered to at all timesEnsure that all mis-en-place is ready before the bar opensEnsure that all function venues are completely set up the day prior to the function according to the companies standardsEnsure that the function venues are serviced and maintained according to the company policyEnsure that all function equipment is maintained in good orderMaintain customer contact during meal times and during conference and function breaksEnsure that the food leaving the kitchen is of high qualityTake operating stock once a month according to the company procedures and process the results on MicrosEnsure that the relevant reports are being submitted to the financial controller as and when requiredLiaise with Front Office regarding meal packagesConduct a daily head count and ensure that the correct amount of charges have been processedEnsure that all control procedures are being adhered to according to company policySpot check food and beverage floats on a regular basisEnsure that all cashing up procedures are being carried out by a member of managementEnsure that all cash-ups balance and take immediate steps to correct any discrepanciesDo Duty Manager shifts as scheduled
