Assistant Financial Controller - Pretoria
Mimimum Qualifications and Experience Required:-
B.Com (Accounting). B.Com Honours preferable.
Minimum 2 years plus experience in an accounting role.
Financial services experience preferred.
Microsoft Excel - intermediate to advanced.
Key Performance Areas:-
Manage the month-end close off process in order to ensure deadlines are met and all capturing of the General Ledgers are complete.
Review of all General Ledger reconciliations which include:
all creditor reconciliations
all debtor reconciliations
all bank reconciliations
petty cash and canteen reconciliations
Review of expense allocations completed by Bookkeepers to ensure that expenses are allocated to the correct General Ledger accounts.
Complete final month end journals for example – accruals.
Complete monthly reporting of the income statement.
Complete a weekly cashflow forecast.
Reconcile and submit the monthly VAT returns, provisional tax and year end computations.
Review of payment requisitions and supporting documentation for approval of payments.
Perform any other related duties as requested.
Assist with Insurance Regulatory reporting.
